Who We Are

The Everlasting Arms Parish/Zone (TEAP) is the Zonal Headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in FCT Province 1, Region 10 (Abuja Nigeria).

Pastor Evaristus Uzomah Azodoh is the Pastor-In-Charge of TEAP Zone.

There are (14) Fourteen Parishes and Three (3) Areas in TEAP Zone.

The Name TEAP

The name “The Everlasting Arms” is derived from Deut. 33:27 “The eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are The Everlasting Arms; and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee and shall say “Destroy them” The Everlasting Arms is one of the names of God.

Our Mandate

The mandate was given by God in the year 2000 to Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili (Former Zonal Pastor) to start a Parish in Abuja, when God was relocating his family from Lagos to Abuja. The Name, Vision and Mission of the Parish was given by God from His word in Deut. 33:27, after seeking the face of God in intense prayer and fasting. Thus, the Church service commenced in his residence with just two (2) and 1/2(half) families.

The Vision

The vision of God is to empower us to work with Him as He builds us up to become a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-national community Church with a focus on loving the Lord Jesus and loving one another.

It is patterned after the scripture on the growth of the early Church in Acts 2:42-47. The plan is to work with out God to build a church that is strong in the love of the word (Jesus Christ) WORSHIP, WITNESSING, WARFARE, SUPERNATURAL WORK OF FAITH MERCY AND WAITING UPON THE LORD while catering to the wholeness of the membership and the body of Christ.

Mission

Our mission is derived from the scripture in Matt. 6:10 “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. For The Everlasting Arms, our guiding mission and principle is “HIS WILL AND HIS WILL ONLY”

The Strategy

The strategy for doing the kingdom work is drawn from John 15:1-27. Every Worker in me that beareth not fruit he takes away: and every worker that beareth fruit He purged it, that it may bring forth more fruit. “Abide in me and I in you. As the Worker cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye except ye abide in me”

The Membership & Workforce

The Lord has impressed on us that if we are ready to take up genuine Servanthood and die to ourselves (no matter our ranking or position) then He will be lifted up and He will draw all men and women to Himself (The Everlasting Arms). An intense and uncompromising Love of Jesus and genuine humility are prerequisite qualifications for membership of workforce.

With God’s destiny for our lives based on the above, we hope to work as if the results depend on us, while resting in the full knowledge that the outcome depends solely upon our God (Ps. 127:1 & Prov. 3:5-7). Jesus will build his church and the gate of hell will never prevail (Matt. 16:18)
